Paradise Valley Empire Beauty School students have the opportunity to participate in local events benefiting the community as well as contributing to real-world training. Some of these events include day of beauty services for local patrons, fundraising benefits and more. Proceeds from Empire's National Day of Beauty event benefits raising awareness about domestic abuse. The students also may participate in local and national competitions, as well as the school's own beauty shows to highlight the students' skills and talents. Empire's Future Professionals Expo offers students exposure to the beauty industry, the one-on-one experience with beauty professionals during mentoring workshops and students also are able to network and interview with salon leaders and representatives to further their career objectives.
"You really have to pay your dues to beomce a platform artist, but it is worth it. I started off as a part time educator for a beauty products distributor, but before I knew it, more opportuniteis came up. It is hard work, but the payoff is fantastic."
