About the York Beauty School
The York, PA, Empire Beauty School is situated on Eastern Boulevard in the Kingston Square Shopping Center a half mile east of Haines Road.
Since 2000, the York location has been educating cosmetology students for successful careers as future professionals in the beauty industry. There is plenty of free parking and students have convenient access to public transportation with Bus Route 1B. Several shopping outlets such as the York Galleria are nearby. Subway, Ginmiya, Outback Steakhouse, and other local restaurants are within walking distance in this quaint town where there's a rich history surrounded by a strong community atmosphere. Recreational parks invite local entertainment and artistic cultural activities throughout the year.

Community Involvement
The York Empire Beauty School students participate in community events which support their hands-on training. Additionally, the students perform a day of beauty services for local patrons. The proceeds of this special event benefit raising awareness about domestic abuse. The students also hold special events at the school such as hair and fashion shows, graduation ceremonies, as well as the opportunity to participate in local and national competitions to highlight their skills and talents. Students continue to gain exposure to the beauty industry, experience one on one mentor workshops with beauty professionals and have the opportunity to interview with salon leaders at the school and at Empire's Future Professionals Expo.
Success Stories
"After graduating from Empire, I stayed on to get an educator license." Simon now works in every aspect of education at Empire, working his way up from being a substitute teacher to now handling any aspect of education at Empire's large Harrisburg campus
