Accreditation accreditation

What does accredited mean?

When it comes to financial aid, not all beauty schools are the same.

If you're considering more than one beauty school, be sure to ask each one whether they're an accredited beauty school. Empire Beauty Schools are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences. That's important because this accreditation makes it possible for Empire to help students get federal financial aid.

We also have other ways to help you make your Empire Beauty School education very affordable. Your local school's Career Planning Specialist has all the details.

Empire Beauty Schools’ High Standards

Every Empire Beauty School is held to high standards. We are licensed in each state we call home, and maintain NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences) accreditation. This means that we uphold our reputation for excelling at educational performance and maintaining the quality of your education at more than 100 schools.

Placement Rate Methodology

Accreditor Rate:

The placement rate is based on graduates from the NACCAS graduation cohort (student scheduled to graduate from the program in 2014) who are employed in a field for which their training prepared them prior to November 30, 2015. Students would be considered ineligible if the graduate:

  • Is deceased
  • Is permanently disabled
  • Deployed for military service/duty
  • Studied under a student visa and is ineligible for employment in the United States
  • Continued his/her education at an institution under the same ownership

The placement rate is calculated by dividing the number of graduates who were employed in the field by the number of graduates who were eligible for employment and multiplying it by 100. This number is the NACCAS placement rate.

State Rate (applicable to Maryland and New York only):

State of Maryland

The placement rate is based on graduates from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 that are employed by September 30, 2015. There are no exclusions to the placement cohort. The placement rate is calculated by dividing the total number of graduates by the number of graduates who were employed and multiplying it by 100. This number is the Maryland state placement rate.

State of New York

The placement rate is based on graduates from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014 that are employed in a field related to the training provided by April 15, 2015. There are no exclusions to the placement cohort. The placement rate is calculated by dividing the total number of graduates by the number of graduates who were employed and multiplying it by 100. This number is the New York state placement rate.
