Beauty School Besties

So you’re thinking about beauty school but, you’re not sure about starting a new school. After all, a new school with new surroundings and new people can be intimidating…think back to high school.

But is change a reason to hold you back from enrolling in beauty school? No way! Why? Because at beauty school you have an instant bestie.

In fact, you’ll have more than one.

Well, here they are. Meet your new best friends – your mannequins.

Daring. Go ahead— relax her hair. Make it red. They love whatever you do.
Loyalty. They will always come to class with you.
Forgiveness. Uneven guideline — no problem, your bestie knows you’ll fix her up next cut.
Supportive. Try those new facial massage techniques…pressing a little hard – it’s ok! You’ll get better.

The list could go on and on.  And it’s a good thing they won’t talk—you’ll have a completely captive audience to practice your consultation skills— and even vent a little!

The cool thing about them is that they are helping you learn about real hair. Yes, that’s right, real hair. Depending on the beauty school you go to, you may have mannequins with real hair. Take Empire Beauty School or Hair Design Schools, for example. Our mannequins are made from real human hair. Why? Because we want you to know about the texture of hair—and how it reacts to perms, relaxers, haircolor —and how to create tension for your haircuts.

Through a really detailed process our mannequins’ hair is collected, cleaned, then sewn into the mannequin heads. We don’t need to go into all the details—but you get the idea. The mannequin is your learning tool. They have such an important role—and you want quality.  Just like in a bestie.
