Bordentown Beauty Students Connect With Just Us Girls!

 The Bordentown, NJ, Empire Beauty School senior students participated in the Just Us Girls event benefiting the local YMCA Girls Club.

The 67 young ladies from the YMCA Girls Club arrived at the Bordentown school for up-dos, movies, food, and fun.

Senior student Crystal Clark-Hill noted how excited the students were to work on the girls’ hair and how thrilled the young ladies were, “one girl event danced for us,” she said.  “Each of them walked out with smiles on their faces.  They all left beautiful,” Hill said.

The 33 senior Empire Beauty School student participating in the event earned credit and enjoyed working with the young ladies, who ranged in age from 7 to 13 years old.

“It was a fun day and the girls were ecstatic to get their hair done,” senior student, Bernadette Riehle said.  The young clients make thank you cards for the students after the event in appreciation for their new up-dos.

This was the first year for the Just Us Girls event and Bordentown school Executive Director, Louisa Correa,  hopes to continue it every year.
