Clipperguy Helps Kickoff Arlington Heights Open HouseBlog ▸ Campuses | March 26, 2011
Ivan Zoot, aka the Clipperguy, arrived at the Arlington Heights Empire Beauty School to help kick off the festivities for the 100 Days of Empire open house events.
Zoot, a national educator for Andis Clippers and Guinness World Record breaker for cutting the most hair in the shortest amount of time, demonstrated men’s haircuts and spoke to prospective students touring the beauty school. Zoot is also an Empire industry friend and prepared for one of his record-breaking moments at the Arlington Heights school in the past.
The Arlington Heights school also used a Mardi Gras theme to celebrate their 100 Days of Empire event. The school held a long hair up-do mannequin competition and set up an area for children to design Mardi Gras masks for the event. Student ambassadors greeted guests at the door and offered tours of the school.
The school also proudly donated $2,988.28 to their local domestic violence shelter, Wings ~ Women in Need Getting Stronger.
