Day of Shopping Becomes Day of Beauty at NJ Beauty School

Senior citizens from the Redding Nursing Home in Trention, NJ, usually prefer to take the local bus to complete any shopping errands they need to get done.  On one particular day, over 20 senior citizens from the nursing home decided to turn their day of shopping into a day of beauty at the Empire Beauty School in Bordentown.

The guests received manicures, pedicures, shampoo and sets, and incredible customer service.  The Student Salon was buzzing as everyone from the students to the Director of Education Kathy Kaminski and Student Salon Team Leader Julie Girard all pitched in to help their eager guests.  The Empire students quickly brought chairs from the cafeteria over to make sure every one of their guests had a seat as they waited for their beauty treatments.

Students like Leah Bailey, a senior, smiled brightly at the opportunity to help make the guests even more beautiful then when they arrived.  One of the patrons, while receiving a pedicure and foot massage from Jimmy Rene, a senior student, commented, “You should be next this is heaven!” to Executive Director Louisa Correa.

Other seniors like Tiffany Carmichael and Jaware Miller lined up to help as many of the senior citizens as they could with their day of beauty.  They offered them phenomenal customer service and kept them smiling during their entire visit.  Each guest left with a business card, a coupon for their next visit and a menu to give to a friend.

At the end, as each guest came to the front of the school friends, students and staff cheered as others clapped as the wonderful beauty services they had received during their visit to Empire Beauty School.  All left with smiles on their faces and a promise to return and help the students and possibly the Salon 360 class.
