Dunwoody Enrolls New Students On The Spot At Open HouseBlog ▸ Campuses | March 18, 2013
Empire’s Dunwoody cosmetology school in the Atlanta area continued the exciting Open House event sweeping the beauty schools across the country. The Atlanta Women’s Resource Center received funds raised by the students and staff through National Day of Beauty amounting to $2,184.17 and the students also presented more charitable items that had been collected, like clothing and three televisions! “The level of elation that the shelter representatives felt was amazing,” noted Executive Director of the school Marcus Jackson. Other highlights at the event included complimentary beauty services and competitions throughout the day as industry representatives and other beauty professionals attended the event.
“We had students pumped up and excited about offering the opportunity for other people to share in the experiences that an empire Beauty School education can offer. Thus students helped decorate, and offered free service upgrades to all of our patrons that came in for the day,” said Jackson. Several students played an intricate role in motivating and offering testimony to inspire some of the prospective students to start school. In fact, the Dunwoody campus was so impressive that one of the shelter representatives actually enrolled in school that day. She was one of the seven enrollments that were welcomed during the event.
“The entire student body was extremely excited about the opportunity to give back to the community and started bringing in more donations that following day for next years Day of Beauty campaign!” added Jackson.
