With the holidays right around the corner so are the parties, especially those fun after work parties.  So how can you make sure you are looking your best in front of your co-workers when you don’t have much time to go from work to the Holiday Party??  Here are 5 tips to make you look fabulous…

holiday party look

Tip #1

The morning of your party make sure you apply a good primer before your foundation and eye shadow, so all you will have to do is enhance your make-up.  Remember; keep your workday make-up simple.

Tip #2

Touch up your foundation or tinted moisturizer by applying some powder to remove any excess oil or shine on the face.

Tip #3

Enhance your eyes by going for a smokey look.  Apply a coat of liner to both the top and bottom lashes. Smudge the liner but make sure you are careful while doing it so you don’t take too much off. Next, either apply deeper color of eye shadow such as a purple or dark grey (for a more dramatic look) or a shimmery shadow (for a more subtle look) over the crease of your eye lids. Then take either a highlighter pencil or a light eye shadow and apply it right below eye brow bone and in the corner of your eye.  This will give your eyes that “pop”.

Tip #4

Add a soft pink rose color to the cheeks.

Tip #5

If you went for the dark smokey eye look then you want to keep your lips simple, such as a light rose color lip gloss. If you went for a more subtle smokey look then definitely bring out the red lips.  Playing up both the eyes and the lips is a big no, no. I don’t think your party is looking for clowns.

What other tips do you have to go from a work look to a holiday party look quickly?
