When ‘The Hills’ Stephanie Pratt interviewed with Examiner Gabrielle Long, she was quick to mention she used a Brazilian Blowout for her long, tangly hair.  Ever envied Jennifer Aniston’s shiny, straight locks? Rumor has it she gets a Brazilian Blowout, too.  You may have seen the signs outside salons ‘We offer Brazilian Blowouts.’ Maybe you read about this foreign sounding trend in In Style Hair or Marie Claire.  But do you know what the Brazilian Blowout is?

Simply, it is a keratin treatment used to straighten frizzy, course, tangled hair.  It typically lasts up to twelve weeks. So why all the hoopla?  Well, it’s expensive. You may pay a few hundred dollars at a salon.  It’s also a process: Hair is washed, sprayed, dried, rinsed, sprayed, rinsed again then straightened one final time.  (It only takes about 90 minutes.) Finally, you may see a rumor or two that there is formaldehyde in the product.  Theory goes, some of the chemical is released into a gas when hair is straight ironed.  Brazillian Blowout has released a product called Zero, though, which, you guessed it, has zero formaldehyde. (Ask your salon if they offer the new product when scheduling.)

The Brazilian Blowout isn’t just trendy.
Ultimately, if you have course, frizzy hair, you know how frustrating the summer humidity can be. Your hair turns into a mix of rat’s nest and tangled spider web.  While that might be fine during Halloween, for the rest of the year you want straight, shiny, silky locks.  The Brazilian Blowout is the answer.

Brazilian Blowouts offer very impressive results.  When you see the Brazilian Blowout pics, you’re not going to believe what an awesome effect this keratin process has. You might want to check out their website at http://brazilianblowout.com/BAA.  They also give a detailed description of the process.  Already know about the trend and want to get certified?  Details on that, too.
