Student Stars: Empire Grad’s Makeup Mastery Goes Viral
Empire Beauty School graduate Jan Bonito has some impressive makeup artistry skills, and thanks to social media, he’s getting national exposure!
Jan recently graduated from Empire Beauty School in Thornton, CO. His educators say he was a shy student at first, but by the time he graduated, he had established a strong clientele and was often booked on the student clinic floor. Jan was a full time student at Thornton from Jan 2013 to June 2014. He is now working in a full service salon in Denver, Colorado by the name of Ergün Tercan European Salon Advanced Hair Academy.
Jan is also working to spread his knowledge to others through on-line tutorials. Recently, he made a splash all over the internet by transforming himself into several different characters from the popular TV series American Horror Story.
His Instagram photos of 8 different AHS characters went viral, appearing on websites like People.com, MTV.com, Buzzfeed, Yahoo Beauty, etc.
“As a student he was always the first to try something new, always wanting to do more.” says Thornton educator, Krystal Blake. “His guest were satisfied after every service, because of the excellent customer service and skills given. I want to wish him the best of luck with his new journey and to always remember sky is the limit.”
“He has always been inspiring to others.” adds educator Laura Martinez. “He is a mentor to many and he is always willing to share his knowledge. It is no surprise that he has surpassed expectations placed upon him. Success is the least that could happen to such a humble, well deserving young man. Jan will go on to be a shining light in the beauty industry and was blessed to have met him.”
