Pottsville, Pa Empire graduate Alicia Williams begins new position with world renowned stylist, Lisa Chiccine.

It’s a dream Alicia Williams almost can’t believe is coming true.  “I am just trying to take it all in as of right now..It’s such a different world!” says Williams of her new position with Lisa Chiccine, a high profile stylist with a chic New York City salon and a product line on QVC.

She is absolutely phenomenal, and the best role model. She has a small one chair salon on 60th and 5th Ave. I began working with her back in May of this year as an assistant at her Pottsville salon (she is only there once a month).  She wanted to mentor me and let me train with her and learn about the industry.  I’m getting the best learning experience with her from haircutting to color, to maintaining a business, and everything in between.

The Lisa Chiccine Salon is a private, single-chair beauty hideaway where every client gets one-on-one attention.

Lisa Chiccine is a highly publicized and well-respected beauty expert. She has styled hair at many high profile fashion shows such as Oscar de la Renta and Bill Blass. She was the former spokeswoman for Proctor & Gamble Infusium line of hair care products. Lisa has appeared on television shows such as: E!, The Style Channel, The Apprentice, Good Day New York and the WB11 Morning News. Her beauty advice is featured in publications such as The Oprah Magazine, Glamour, Lucky, Cosmopolitan, Self, People, Style Watch, Health, Seventeen, Life & Style, Bene, Avenue, and Good Housekeeping.

Alicia, a recent graduate of Empire Beauty School in Pottsville, PA, will begin by joining her mentor once a week at her New York City salon. She will add more days as she adjusts to the city. For now she will commute, but plans to move closer to the city as her schedule picks up.

Her goal is to eventually manage a salon for Chiccine, gaining valuable experience that will allow her to open her own salon one day.

During her time at Empire Beauty School, Williams placed 1st in a team competition for Future Professionals Expo. She also was able to gain several regular clients through her clinic time in the student salon.
