warwick-beauty-students-donateAs the Warwick, RI, Empire Beauty School started their 100 Days of Empire Open House Event, a representative from the Elizabeth Buffum Chase House arrived expecting to pick up a few donated cleaning supplies and toiletries for the domestic abuse shelter. To her surprise, she was presented with a donation in the amount of $1,565.50. The students raised the money during Empire’s National Day of Beauty event. The students were honored to present the funds to help the shelter and the residents of the Elizabeth Buffum Chase House. After the check presentation, the students continued offering free beauty services to guests and tours of the school to prospective students during the open house celebration. The theme for the day was fitting as it tied into Empire’s motto and Valentine’s Day, “Love What You Do!” All the students had on some type of pink attire and the Student Ambassadors all wore pink corsages. The school also displayed mannequins from their two competitions which was held earlier in the week. The winners of the competition will head to Empire’s Future Professionals Expo in May.
