State College School Hosts 100 Days Event

state-college-schoolThe State College, PA, Empire Beauty School opened its doors for the 100 Days of Empire Open House event on Friday.

Local businesses, prospective students and other community representatives were on hand during the event as students worked busily on the salon floor performing a variety of beauty services for their welcomed guests. Tours and interviews were given to potential students throughout the day. Student Teachers demonstrated how to apply hair extensions during the event for the guests and students. The guests were able to win door prizes such as skin care and other products.

The students also demonstrated salon techniques on one another such as manicures, nail art, shampoo and styles, curling hair using rollers, and more.

The school also presented its adopted shelter, Centra County Women’s Resource Center, with a  donation from the funds raised during Empire’s National Day of Beauty.

As the tour continues across the U.S., the Arizona schools will host the next leg of the tour beginning this week.
