Empire Beauty School is featured in the news in Wilkes Barre, PA. On Leckey Live, Ryan Leckey reports about Empire Beauty School’s involvement with Day of Beauty, a day in efforts to help victims of spousal abuse. On October 12, 2013, at-risk women are provided discounted treatments and are donating all the proceeds to local women’s resource centers. This is all in association with the national Cut It Out campaign that is designed to help victims of domestic violence. Empire is also offering $5 purple hair extensions for the cause. This also helps the students practice their skills. One campus was able to raise over three thousand dollars for the cause.

Empire Beauty Schools all together were able to raise over $50,000 to support local anti-abuse programs. The money was donated to over 100 local women’s shelters and help centers. This is part of a now annual fund raising event by Empire Beauty Schools for preventing domestic violence.
