About 200 women living inside the Nashville Rescue Mission will celebrate Valentine’s Day in style.
Living at the rescue mission is designed to be a short-term solution. The goal of its Life Recovery Project is to move out and move on in life.
Saturday, Reba McEntire will take the stage for Hearts of Hope. Thanks to several generous local businesses, the women at the Nashville Rescue Mission will be the belles of the ball.
The women were invited to spend Tuesday at Empire Beauty School in Brentwood for a day of pampering.
Whitney Milam and her roommates at the mission were getting dolled up for the Saturday luncheon in their honor.
“Feels great,” Milam said. “All the love feels great.”
McEntire will perform for free at the second year fundraiser.
Sarah Pauley said she is still amazed that so many donate to make the event happen.
“We’re all friends, live in the same place together,” Pauley said. “Real excited to have a day to be pampered and to share it together and see Reba McEntire.”
Additionally, Blowout of Nashville provided manicures, Dress for Success donated clothes, Soles 4 Souls provided dress shoes and Sentinel Transportation will make sure the women arrive in limousines.
Hearts of Hope is already sold out, but donations can be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission by clicking here.
