Beauty school is not an easy decision.  Lots of factors go into deciding on any college.  Beauty school, though, isn’t even a traditional ‘college’: It is a program designed to help you obtain your cosmetology license so you can do hair, makeup-artistry, nails and much more.  In fact, it’s not even a typical classroom with long hours and doctors giving lectures.  If you’re asking yourself if beauty school is right for you, let’s look at a few facts:

  • You will complete your cosmetology program in about a year. Then, after passing the cosmetology licensing exam, you’ll be able to begin to cut, color, and style hair – and so much more.  That means your career can start in about a year: It’s fairly quick compared to other programs.
  • You practice hands on in our student salon.  After a few beauty school courses, you’ll cut hair, under the supervision of your teacher, on real people.  Yup, real, practical life experience.
  • Beauty School can take you anywhere.  Cosmetology is needed anywhere people have hair. So, after beauty school, you can pursue almost any direction, in any state or country you choose. (Of course, you’ll want to make sure your cosmetology license is accepted in the state you’ll cut hair or that your license has reciprocity, too.) How’s that for flexibility?
  • Do you like to be on your feet? At beauty school, only part of the classes are sitting down. The best way to learn to cut hair is to practice.  So, keep in mind you will be on your feet a lot doing your thing.
  • Do you want a flexible schedule? Cosmetology means you will, according to recent statistics, most likely be working part-time … or full-time. Or even for yourself.  You may have a set schedule or get to choose your own hours. That’s what flexible means, after all.
So, if you are thinking about beauty school, think about what career options are most important to you.  Beauty school is probably right for you if you prefer to be on your feet, learning to cut hair. Once you graduate and obtain your cosmetology license, the rest is up to you.  Take yourself there, we can help.
Most importantly – Love What You Do!
