americas-top-modelThis season’s America’s Next Top Model contestant Raina Hein, a Minnesota native, helped the four Empire Beauty Schools kick offer their 100 Days of Empire Open House events.  Hein was on hand to judge student competitions and sign autographs for the schools individual open house events in: Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Spring Lark Park and St. Paul.

The schools also presented their local domestic abuse shelters, which they adopted during National Day of Beauty, with donations from the fundraising event.  Cornerstone Advocacy Services, Catholic Charities Family Service Center, Women’s Advocates, and Casa De Esperanza attended their adopted school’s events and welcomed the donations, which totaled over $7,593 in donations for residents of the shelters.

Each school hosted a theme with their event such as Beauty on a Budget, Hawaiian, Carnival, and Spring Trends.  Fashion shows, makeup and hair competitions filled the day at the schools as students and staff welcomed community leaders, salon representatives, and more local guests at their events for complimentary beauty services and tours of the school.

Other highlights from each of the schools’ individual events included a threading demonstration,  henna tattoos, pressure point therapy, tips on do-it-yourself beauty regimens, bowling with mannequins, and more fun and food.
