The Eden Prairie Empire Beauty School kicked off their 100 Days of Empire Open House event with a check presentation to Cornerstone Advocacy Services in the amount of $1,696.04. “The shelter we adopted was
very pleased with the amount that we had donated and so happy to be working with us,” said the school’s Executive Director Jessica Bollingmo.

The school also recently became an Eden Prairie Chamber of Commerce member and greeted many of the local ambassadors who attended the event to show their support. Local salon representatives were also in attendance for the open house event as students hosted a Spring Trends fashion show.

The show consisted of students showcasing their skills for hair, makeup, fashion and nails. Fifteen local businesses came as vendors for the event. A live band entertained the guests and busy students, as America’s Next Top Model contestant Raina Hein, a Minnesota native, signed autographs and even treated herself to a mani/pedi compliments of the beauty students.

In addition to the complimentary beauty services the students offered on the salon floor, a guest artist was on hand to offer henna tattoos. School tours were also offered to prospective students, and the school welcomed two new enrolling students on the spot during the event.

A beautiful lunch buffet was provided to all the guests as the school continued with their celebration and Spring Trends fashion show.
