The Eden Prairie, MN, Empire Beauty School was one of the winners from Empire’s National Day of Beauty event. The Eden Prairie school raised nearly $1,600 during the one day of beauty services to benefit victims of domestic abuse. For their incredible efforts, the school earned $500 towards their Future Professionals Expo fund.
Executive Director Kyla Aistrop noted the 18 students and three educators also collected necessities for the shelter they adopted such as toothpaste, tooth brushes, socks, and more. “We had hot dog, potato chip and pop stand during this event that went over well!” noted Aistrop.
“It was so amazing to see everyone work together as a team during this event and to see how much we could raise for this great cause! The students and staff were really excited about this cause. We were even featured in the StarTribune, which is Minnesota’s largest newspaper publication. It is delivered state wide. We have had a number of clients coming in saying that they read the article on use and more importantly on domestic violence!” added Aistrop.
Congratulations to the students and faculty from Eden Prairie!
