Empire Gives Back Announced During 100 Days Event in Lauderhill, FL

3-18-2013 9-50-40 AM The Lauderhill, FL, Empire Beauty School introduced the company’s national anti-domestic violence program, Empire Gives Back, during the school’s 100 Days of Empire open house event.

Empire Education Group also unveiled the Educational Endowment program, which was created to assist survivors of domestic abuse to attend any Empire Beauty School in the U.S.

The Victim Services Unit of the Lauderhill police department presented a workshop about domestic abuse to the students and staff at the school.  The school also presented the Women in Distress of Broward County a check for $1,200, money the students raised during National Day of Beauty.

Chairman and CEO Franklin Schoeneman was also present at the school for the events and the ribbon cutting held by the Lauderhill Chamber of Commerce to commemorate Empire as a community business.

Another highlight during the open house event was a student hair competition.  The students also offered free beauty services throughout the day and tours of the school to prospective students hoping to train for a career in cosmetology.3-18-2013 9-51-16 AM

Goldwell North American Guest Artist, Deb Gaven, presented the 2010 Color Zoom Collection with a demonstration to the students.  The live demonstration was a unique learning experience for the students.

Empire’s Lauderhill school, the first eco-friendly school for the company, also achieved recognition as a “Green Conscious Salon Certification” by the Florida Association of Beauty Professionals.  The school employes numerous energy and water saving features such as shampoo sinks and dryers, recycling hubs, environmentally friendly paint, energy saving lighting, heating and gas.
