Empire Education Group Career Planning Specialists Hazel Ortiz and Christi Cook of the Avondale, Arizona, Empire Beauty School are bringing Empire to local high school football games.
Ortiz and Cook have visited several schools, inviting students and the public to learn more about Cosmetology training for numerous types of careers in the beauty industry. With so many beauty careers in full demand and a lagging economy, Cosmetology has been voted as one of the top 10 best careers in the nation for the past few years.
The ladies, along with several Empire educators, hand out Empire footballs, pom-poms, candy and more importantly informational materials about Empire Beauty Schools and cosmetology career training. Empire Beauty Schools offer financial aid to those who qualify as well as job placement assistance for graduating students.
A number of leads and interest has increased since the Career Planning Specialists have started showing up at high school football games. “We’re generating business and we’re really excited,” said Ortiz.
A local radio station, 101.5 Jamz broadcasts near the Empire tent at each of the games, as well to show support as the ladies promote Empire Beauty Schools and cosmetology training.
