The Indianapolis Empire Beauty School kicked off the 100 Days of Empire events at noon.  “Love What You Do” was the theme for the day as the students offered complimentary beauty services such as haircuts and hair styles, as well as mini facials and mini arm and hand massages from the Esthetics students.

The school donated $1629.45 to their locally adopted domestic violence shelter, the Julian Center.  The representative from the shelter said she was impressed with the student’s attitude and enthusiasm about the event and the donation to the shelter.

The students also held a fashion and hair show.  Students were put on teams and picked a career that they wanted to portray in conjunction with the ‘Love What You Do’ theme.  Students had to complete the look of their “career model” with dress, hair and make-up.  There was a farmer, a beauty pageant contestant they named Miss Empire, a rock star, a zoo keeper and a gardener.  Fun was had by all who attended the daylong celebration event.100-days-indianapolis-1
