An enthusiastic student body and staff enjoyed an exciting event at the Lawrenceville Empire Beauty School campus on Wednesday.  The highlight of the event was a skit and poetry reading the students participated in.  The reading was about showing their love of Empire and how Empire has helped change their lives.  The reading was done by student Brittany Clayborne.

Immediately following the student show was a special check presentation to a local shelter, Partnership Against Domestic Violence, for over $1300.  Ms. Jeannette Soto, Director of the Center, was there to receive the check and had some kind works for the school and the students.atlanta-hair-school-poetry-2

During the day, complimentary haircuts and manicures were offered.  Guests mingled, met with Career Planning Specialists, toured the campus and enjoyed cupcakes, sandwiches, drinks, and the ever-popular chocolate fountain with assorted fruits.  Fun was had by all.
