lehigh valley beauty studentsStudents from the Lehigh Valley, PA, Empire Beauty School were invited to participate in a fun competition. The prize was to meet Tabatha Coffey.

Coffey is a famed hairdresser and educator, and star of the Bravo television series Tabatha’s Salon Takeover. She was also a former contestant on Bravo’s Shear Genius.

The beauty students, Milton Fedd III and Simone Rubero, won the competition which was hosted by Nathan Rosenkranz of Patrick McIvor Color Studio in Bethlehem, PA.

Rosenkranz, winner of MATRIX Mania Family and Friends category, did a presentation about his experience and showed the students pictures of his finished mannequin head. He explained to the students how to re-create his winning look.

Rosenkranz’s prize from the MATRIX competition was to meet Coffey, however since Nathan and Patrick McIvor know Tabatha personally they decided to invite the Empire students to meet the industry icon instead.

After Rosenkranz won the MATRIX competition, MATRIX traveled to the Patrick McIvor Color Studio in Bethlehem to surprise Rosenkranz with the news. He also earned a $25,000 prize and MATRIX products for his creation.
