by Empire Beauty School

lancaster-easterThe Lancaster, PA, Empire Beauty School students held a night of beauty and an Easter party for the woman and children of a local shelter.

Faculty, staff, students, and local salons such as Hair Cuttery and Holiday Hair donated food, Easter candy and gift bags of products for the women and children.

The children were entertained with an Easter egg hunt, face and egg painting, and various games, while the mothers enjoyed a relaxing salon experience receiving a haircut, style, and hand and arm massages.

The school has worked with the shelter for over a year and hosted numerous nights of beauty such as a Halloween Party, Christmas Party with Santa and gifts for the children, and now an Easter event.  “The staff and students had a great time with these events and always ask what more they can do,” noted Executive Director of the School Marlin Morgan.

According to Morgan, more events are in the works for the rest of the year.  The school also gives monthly donations of toiletries and food that are collected at the school.

“The students absolutely give 110 per cent to these events because they know at the end of these events they have made an impact on someone’s life,” noted Morgan.
