Beauty Re-cap of Music’s Biggest Night: Grammy Awards

BlogFashion Trends | February 13, 2012

Last night was the 54th Annual Grammy Awards where all the musicians and stars came out to support music’s biggest night. Not only do we love honoring the best in music but we can’t wait to see what styles each of the stars will bring out. This year brought lots of variety in styles from simple and elegant to crazy and wild. Let’s see who your favorite of the night was…

Adele was the biggest winner of the night taking home 6 Grammy Awards including song of the year and album of the year. She kept her look very classy and according to a recent facebook posting on Empire’s Facebook page she seemed to also have the best overall look of the night. Her makeup was flawless while featuring a more blonde hair color with soft waves.

Katy Perry was rocking a new color for the night …blue.  During the Red Carpet she appeared very elegant with her hair pulled up and then for her on stage performance and after she let it all down with an edgy crimped look.

Rihanna’s look of the night was probably one of the most talked about…from her jaw dropping black plunging dress that turned so many heads to her new blonde curly hair with some of her roots showing.  There were mixed feelings on Rihanna’s hair…some think the color and the styles looked a mess while others felt she pulled it off.  What do you think?

Jennifer Hudson gave an emotional and amazing tribute to Whitney Houston.  She performed Whitney’s classic song “I Will Always Love You” and ended it with “Whitney, we love…we love…you,”.   Jennifer’s hair, makeup and dress were also stunning during her tribute performance.

Carrie Underwood looked stunning on the Red Carpet to the Grammy’s.  She pulled her beautiful locks back into a loose twisted braid and left lots of volume at the roots of her hair. She put a lot of focus on her eyes by creating a smokey look and adding lengthy falsies.  She then finished with peach cheeks and lip gloss.

Kelly Clarkson went with a more blunt bang and darker color hair  look during her National Anthem performance for the Super Bowl  but for the Grammy’s this past Sunday she went more for a side fringe bang with an ombre color.

Nicki Minaj was probably the most interesting look and performance of the night.  Not really sure what to say about this look…

Who do you think had the best overall look of the night at the Grammy Awards?  Do you think one of these looks will be a new trend?
