Empire Students Vote on Oscars Favorite Beauty and Fashion Looks
Oscar night maybe Hollywood’s biggest night but it is also the biggest night for Fashion and Beauty followers. We all sit in envy watching each of the stars step onto the red carpet waiting to see who wore it best, who had the best hairstyle and whose makeup was flawless. This year we decided to get the Future Professionals, our students, involved to see who they thought took the spotlight and who should have took cover.
It seems our students had a love for Angelina Jolie… they picked her for Best Female Hairstyle, Best Makeup and Best Overall Female Style. Angelina kept her hair striking with lots of body and bouncy waves and dazzled with a red coral shade on her lips and smoky brown eyes. Angelina looked amazing and definitely had a leg up in the competition (literally) ….can you believe they even made a twitter page Angelina’s Right Leg?
George Clooney was a favorite with our students as well. They picked him for Best Male Hairstyle and Best Overall Male Style. It was a close race between George Clooney and Brad Pitt but most of the students said George was just “simply classic” that evening. For how close it was between the two we still had a lot of our students not digging Brad’s hair. They picked him for the Worst Male Hairstyle. However, when asked the question who is flat out HOT…Brad Pitt took the votes on that one. So even though he may not have looked his best at this year’s Oscars he still is one of the favorites among our students.
Bradley Cooper was also a favorite in the male categories. He was sporting a mustache at the Oscars and with a quick question on our Empire Facebook Page … do you love it or hate? Most or our students would rather he ditch the stache. But, even with the stache and those piercing blue eyes, don’t you think he is still a hottie?
Emma Stone took the Best Hair Color category. Her stylist had her hair sleek in the front to show off her beautiful haircolor and then pulled all her hair back into a pony wrapping individual pieces and pinning them into a bun.
According to our survey of who had the Worst Female Hairstyle our students picked Tina Fey. But when posting a pick of Rooney Mara on Facebook and asking who liked her updo with the blunt bangs it was obvious she was definitely not a favorite. I am not sure if our students got it right with Tina having the worst hair but I think they were correct with Rooney Mara. What do you think?
