Located in the heart of Downtown Portland and situated within walking distance of the Old Port District on Marginal Way off of I-295, is Empire Beauty School of Portland,Maine.

The Portland beauty school has been educating future beauty professionals since 2000 at this modern school. There is plenty of free parking as well as available public transportation via Congress Street Stop and the Metro bus lines around the quaint waterfront of the Old Port district for students. Local eateries and shopping areas include the Whole Foods Market, the Hannaford's Supermarket, and CB Sullivan Beauty Supply, as well as the Maine Mall. Students will also enjoy seeing the sights of local art exhibits and walking tours of the Old Port district where the Portland Pirates Hockey team plays, film festivals and jazz shows are ever present and more.

Portland Empire Beauty School students participate in community events which support their hands-on training such as performing a day of beauty services for local patrons. The proceeds benefit raising awareness about domestic abuse. The students also have the opportunity to participate in local and national competitions, as well as their own beauty shows to highlight their skills and talents. At Empire's Future Professional Expo students continue to gain exposure to the beauty industry, experience one on one mentor workshops with beauty professionals and have the opportunity to interview with salon leaders.
