Just outside the city of Reading sits Empire Beauty School of Reading, PA, located on the North 5th Street Highway off of Business route 222 just south of the Fair Ground Square Mall and near the Warren Street Bypass.

The Reading location has been educating cosmetology students for a number of years for a career in the beauty industry. There is plenty of free parking and students have access to public transportation by way of Barta, which also stops right outside the school and the Metro Taxi Company. The school is situated within walking distance of the Fairgrounds Square Mall. The Berkshire Mall, Target and the VF Reading Outlets are also nearby. Students may also enjoy eateries such as Applebee's, Chef Alan's Bistro, Nino's Italian restaurant, McDonald's, Burger King and several more options. Enjoy shows and events at the Sovereign Center where The Reading Royals ice hockey team, Reading Express arena football team play. Or take in a game at FirstEnergy Stadium with the Reading Phillies. Nearby day care centers are within reasonable proximity of the school as well.

Reading Empire Beauty School students participate in community events which support their hands-on training such as performing a day of beauty services for local patrons. The proceeds benefit raising awareness about domestic abuse. The students also hold special events at the school such as hair and fashion shows, graduation ceremonies, as well as the opportunity to participate in local and national competitions to highlight their skills and talents. Students continue to gain exposure to the beauty industry, experience one on one mentor workshops with beauty professionals and have the opportunity to interview with salon leaders at Empire Education Group's annual Future Professionals Expo.
