About Rhode Island Beauty Schools

Program State Required Hours
Cosmetologist 1500
Esthetician 600
Nail Tech 200

The smallest state in the U.S. has played a major role in our nation’s history. Rhode Island was the last of the original 13 colonies, but Rhode Islanders were the first to take action against England in America’s war for independence. Rhode Island was the first state to impose a jail sentence for speeding, the first to host a circus and the first to hold a U.S. Open Golf Championship. Rhode Island is known among tourists for its famous Newport mansions and is home to many fine beauty salons and cosmetology schools.

For example, there is an Empire Beauty School campus in the state of Rhode Island, located in Warwick. We are dedicated to helping you to achieve your dream of a rewarding and enjoyable career in cosmetology.

Cosmetology students at beauty schools in Rhode Island bring the knowledge, skills and techniques learned in classrooms into the student salon where they were on real clients. Here the students learn what it takes to create the look that will make each client happy and look and feel their best. This experience in creating loyal customers who bring in new customers with positive word of mouth prepares beauty school students for the business building that they will do throughout their beauty careers.

In addition to completing a cosmetology program, beauty school graduates must also pass a state exam to obtain the license needed to practice as a beauty professional. Top beauty schools help students to prepare for the licensing exam. These cosmetology schools also provide career guidance and help students connect with employers who can provide the job that meets the beauty school graduate’s career and personal goals.

With the varied climate in Rhode Island, beauty school students who want to succeed as hair stylists must be able to deal with humidity and frizzy hair, and they learn the proper techniques in a top Rhode Island beauty school. They can become highly skilled in hair cutting, coloring and styling while working in the student salon. Rhode Island beauty schools also offer educational programs for those who wish to become estheticians and focus on skin care, as well as those who prefer nail technology. A student with a passion for fashion and beauty can flourish in a Rhode Island beauty school and, in no time, find themselves in a fun and rewarding professional beauty career.

If you love to be creative, want to help people look their best and you love being around people, a beauty career could be ideal for you and your future. You can begin that exciting journey at a Rhode Island beauty school. And, once you become a licensed beauty professional, you can let your talent and determination take you as high as you want to go.
