Dunwoody Fantasy Hair Competition Draws Celeb Judge

Taking cues from the cable network Oxygen show, Hair Battle Spectacular, Student Salon Team Leader Bridgette Khan organized a similar event at the Dunwoody, GA, Empire Beauty School called Wedding Cake Hair Battle.

Her goal was to inspire creativity in the students and open the door to the world of fantasy hair as a profession.  Fantasy Hair allows stylists to bring creativity to another level with imposing designs, extreme styles, colors, and accessories.dunwoody-atlanta-cosmetology-school-2

The event drew celebrity guest judge J-Rok from the Oxygen show. J-Rok, a stylist and contestant on the show, was scheduled to visit the beauty school and speak to the students about competing in Fantasy Hair Style Competitions.  “We invited him out to a guest judge in the hair battle inspired by the show he was on. He was great as a judge and an awesome inspiration to the students,” said Executive Director Marcus Jackson. J-Rok is also a platform artist and native of Altanta, GA.

J-Rok remarked that he was blown away by some of the talent displayed throughout the show.  “The Salon Students at Dunwoody greatly enjoyed showing their talents in the world of creative Fantasy Design,” noted Jackson.
