Empire Beauty School of Shamokin Dam, PA, is located in the bustling Orchard Hills Plaza Shopping Center on Route 11 and 15.

The Shamokin Dam beauty school has been educating cosmetology students for over 16 years at this location. There is plenty of free parking as well as available public transportation for students. Since the beauty school is situated inside a shopping plaza, students have access to several shops and local eateries including Applebees, Friendly's, Garfields, and Bob Evans. Grocery shopping convenience is nearby at the local Giant, Weis or Monroe Market Place. A number of gas stations such as Turkey Hill, Sunoco, Citgo, and others are within close proximity for commuting students. Additionally, there are numerous day care centers such as Children's Discovery Center, Abundant Blessings Christian Daycare and more.

Shamokin Dam Empire Beauty School students participate in community events which support their hands-on training such as performing a day of beauty services for local patrons. The proceeds benefit raising awareness about domestic abuse. The students also have the opportunity to participate in local and national competitions, as well as their own beauty shows to highlight their skills and talents. Students continue to gain exposure to the beauty industry, experience one on one mentor workshops with beauty professionals and have the opportunity to interview with salon leaders at Empire's annual Future Professionals Expo.
