The battle for Steel City glory has been won and the talent was next level! Empire Beauty School students from our North Hills, Monroeville, and West Mifflin campuses came together for an exciting regional competition, showcasing their creativity, technique, and passion for the beauty industry.
The event featured three competition categories: Avant Garde- Total Fantasy Look, Trend Cut & Color, Nail Artistry- Nails in a Box.
Each student impressed both judges and spectators with their artistry and professionalism. The future of beauty is in great hands!

How it all came together
Our in-house competitions began in March at each individual campus, where students competed for a chance to represent their school at the next level. In April, the North Hills campus hosted the final showdown, inviting the top two winners from each category across all three locations to battle it out for the regional title.
The final results were based on cumulative scores and we’re thrilled to announce that Team North Hills claimed the Steel City Trophy for best overall performance!
The event would not have been possible without the generous support of our local community who donated prizes for our winners and judged the competition. The competition brought together students, educators, family members, and beauty professionals to celebrate the next generation of stylists.
