Love Is In The Air At Lancaster Celebration

The Lancaster Empire Beauty School celebrated the 100 Days of Empire and Valentine’s Day. Guests who came into the school for a tour or to enroll in the school’s cosmetology program received refreshments as well as a heart shaped box of chocolates to celebrate the holiday.

Student ambassadors gave potential cosmetology students tours throughout the day and talked about an education at Empire Beauty School.

Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster Country arrived and were presented a donation in the amount of $2,281.6. The students raised the money for the shelter during several fund raising events including Empire’s annual National Day of Beauty. Even area businesses came out for the celebration, including Holiday Hair which gave the Lancaster school two large boxes of Valentine’s candy to donate to the children of the shelter…certainly a welcomed treat.

There was also a hair competition. Students had one hour to create a festive Valentine’s Day up-do

on one of their mannequins. They could use any tool, any product and they could also use any type of decoration such as glitter, bows, ribbon, jewelry, and more.
