Lancaster Empire Beauty School students participate in community events which support their hands-on training such as performing a day of beauty services for local patrons. The proceeds benefit raising awareness about domestic abuse. The students additionally participate in fundraising activities to support their local children and women's shelter by holding year-long holiday events offering beauty services to families in need. They also have the opportunity to participate in local and national competitions, as well as their own beauty shows to highlight their skills and talents.
"I know firsthand how challenging it can be to have a life and family obligations and to attend beauty school. But I persisted, continued on to get a teaching certificate, and love what I do. I love to watch my students now go from day one to graduation. I take pride in my work and my greatest reward is graduating my students."
